“Everything is rigged tight and we’re ready,” says Brady Bunte, owner of the Viking convertible, El Gallo, of Dana Point, California. Bunte and his team were the first million-dollar winner in 2003 with a 565-pound blue. They also came in second in 2001 with a 479-pounder. Now, for the first time since 2003, the original team and crew are back together competing again.

Owned by Brady Bunte, Tres Sietes tequilas are made in their own facility where they make their tequila "from field to glass." They combine French distillation techniques with Mexican tradition. The name is translated as "Three Sevens" and meant to invoke ideas of good fortune. It is produced at Fabrica Tres Sietes and "tequila guru" Frank Gonzalez, who oversees the state-of-the-art technology that steams the agave rather than bakes it in the oven. This in turn lessens the amount of (evil tasting) methanol in the distillation. -
